Guys I in the market for some brake pads. I want to get some that have less dust than the factory. Im guessing they have a ton of dust because they are very soft. Has anyone had luck with replacement pads that feel like the factory ones? I love the grab of them but I swear I can see the dust comming out everytime I touch th pads. :-(

Hi,

Hawk HPS Pads front and rear set will cost $182. Great stopping power with very low dust. A bunch of people on this forum are running them and are happy

Are you going to replace the rotors too, or resurface them. I think the manufacturer recommends replacing them.

Yea the dealership always say by the time the pads are done, the rotors are about time to be replaced too.

But i don't think thats necessary...

or is it.....

that question bothers me..

I am in the same boat: Pads or pads AND rotors. My neighbor let me borrow a pair of calipers (for measuring..not brake calipers...) and I will measure the rotor thickness and compare to spec. I believe, and will verify, the minimum spec is 22.4mm. If so, I will replace all.

I have 27k miles on this set of front pads/rotors.

Add me into this boat as well.

iDrive is warning me that my rear brakes need replacing soon.

I'd like to change my rotors as well... They're rather rusty and looking horrible

So, Acute Performance dude - what kind of packages deal can do you do for brakes + rotors? All four wheels would be preferred.

Depends on the model you have. Can you tell me your year/make/model?

FYI you guys,

I recently replaced my oem rotors with R1 Concepts and Hawk HPS pads. My wheels (166) have never been cleaner...the difference
in brake dust is night and day vs oem. This fact alone make this purchase well worth it.
