My 530d is in having the BMW accessory Xenon Fogs (for non Xenon cars) fitted. It appears to be a big job, not exactly plug and play. I am told it is the first Aussie E60 to utlise this accessory. The Dealer advises that as part of the install I would have a new version of CIP/Progman released from Germany "last week".
I'm looking forward to seeing whether the LCI version of the software unlocks any other features.

My dealer has confirmed this is a new accessory, so much so the instructions for installation are incorrect and the kit is missing a relay.
Lucky BMW Australia had a senior tech on site as Australian Press are shortly to do a full test of the new M3 around part of the Targa Tasmania course. The M3's are being prepped in my local dealer! (Drool)
The BMW Australia rep confirmed the error and got the local service techs off the hook!

The topic description as Xenon fogs is incorrect. BMW describes the accessory as Xenon "supplementary" lights for non xenon cars. Finally they are operational with arrival of the relays from Germany.
The kit involves fitting a new wiring kit, changing the switch gear, the xenons only operate on high beam, so do not have the same function as fogs.
They are certainly bright and give a very bright long throw.
I will post pics when I can.
