I'm about to install the tracking but before the dealer will start "open" the whole car as he said I'd really like to know what exactly is gonna do.
Does anybody has an update information about this installation? like something on eba......

What "tracking" are you referring to?
The tracking I'm referring to is the BMW tracking service, it's an aftermarket optional that add a gps tracking alarm device to the car, sends sms in case the alarm is initiated. You must have installed the factory alarm then you can let bmw install this add-on. That's why should be on the eba and not on tis.

Pretty much the system uses the nav gps signal and the std alarm. All the system is linked to tracking call center and hopefully the'll help you out to find the car in case stolen.
I undestand if people wants to steal your car they will but at least here in italy nobody cares of activated alarms nor sirens so at least you can get an sms and check personally if you stay in the vicinity of your baby..... of course with a sweet company of a big twin barrel with rock salt

Okay, so now I know what tracking you're referring to -- I still don't understand what your original question was...
I don't have momentarily the tis with me nor an update version of the eba so I'm asking somebody to help me out in gathering this information.
