I've read on this forum a few posts/threads that have stated that the BMW Style 167 M (OEM) wheels are forged. The local BMW dealer's parts department has told me that those wheels are cast. Can anyone confirm if the wheels are forged or cast???

According to this post...166's are cast

http://www.e60.net/information/options/wheels/

I would think 167's are as well, although in this thread...memeber states VT 167's are possibly forged...

http://forums.e60.net/index.php?showtopic=...mp;#entry477296

this thread also briefly discussed it...

http://forums.e60.net/index.php?showtopic=...mp;#entry539722

again, stating forged 167's...

Investigate here http://www.realoem.com/bmw/select.do or pull your wheels and read the p/n stamped on the inner surface. As an alternative, if your wheels have not been swapped out, ask your dealer to run the VIN and determine what wheels were delivered with it.
