Which one should I get ?

5L CASTROL Edge 5W-30 Fully Synthetic Engine oil
5L CASTROL Edge 0W-30 Fully Synthetic Engine oil

Is 5 Litres enough for a 520d?

Thanks!

Castrol Edge 5W-30 is a BMW Approved LL-04 oil ,so is Castrol Edge Turbo Diesel 0W-30 and Castrol Edge Sport 0W-40.
The 5W-30 should be ideal for your location.

Does it have to say castrol edge turbo diesel or if it just says castrol edge it's still good?

Well,it depends on what BMW spec. you should be using ,consult your handbook because that oil is a BMW LL-01 oil.Mobil 1 5W-30 is a BMW LL-04 oil.

Last time I changed oil, I switched to the BMW-branded oil they sell at the dealer. It seems to work better on my engine than anything else I've used before (both Castrol and Mobil1 - the ones recommended in the manual). So I highly recommend you use the BMW Oil - just go to your dealership's parts counter and get yourself set up

When I went to the dealer, it was only available in 1 litre units, so therefore pretty expensive.
