I'll double check for you tonight, OK?
I have a bunch of these ceramic resistors: 10W/10_Ohms, 25W/10_Ohms, 10W/8_Ohms, 33W/30_Ohms, etc. I'll confirm with you tonight.
What I'm doing is I split the power to feed my tail light LED and this LED light. It does not give error since enough current is drawn from LCM, but it does give some strobing when start up. The easy solution is use a relay. Anything relay that can handle more than 1A would be OK. You can use normal auto relay if you wish.
Therefore you have two things to do:
1. Connect relay - This solves strobing like an ambulance when starting up.
- Positive connects to pin 85 and 30
- Ground connects to pin 86
- Pin 87 to LED light
2. Connect power resistor to pin 85 or 30 and ground.

This will solves your problem.

So it's not as simple as just using the correct resistor in-line?

I'm assuming you have an idea how to fix this since you're relating it to the LED's in the LCI tail lights.

I don't understand how a relay works, so your directions look like a foreign language to me. Let me know your findings tonight. I look forward to your response. Thanks!

Is the part number the same for left and right?

Here is some basic about relay. It will take you up to 1 minute to learn
http://www.bcae1.com/ and to go Relay (scroll down to the right)

Fred - The Flux Capacitor in my DeLorean is down. I need to get back to 1986. How do I fix this problem?

OK, so I skimmed through the lesson on relays and I now understand what you mean by connecting 87, 86 and 30. Do you recommend soldering the leads? Also, will 22 AWG suffice? Or should I use the 14 AWG?

Next question... does Fry's sell relays and do I still need a resistor?

Great! I look forward to your diagram. Hopefully you can whip one out for me in the next hour! I want to stop by Fry's after work.

I'll scan my receipt for you when I get home and post here so you can get the part #'s for all the LED's and wiring.

You are a genius Fred. If you figure this one out, I'm smacking a big ol' kiss on you when I see you in 3 weeks.

Heck. It's here. So, both left and right use the same part number? Too lazy to check.
