As per title, anyone succesfully retrofitted the BMW Advanced DVD twin screen package into there car?

I know for sure this has been done by one member here long ago. I believe his thread was in the DIY section so you will have to search for it.

those look dumb, doesn't look oem and doesnt fit the car. is there a retrofit that sets the lcds in the headrest? or a ceiling mounted lcd?

+1 way too clunky looking, headrest screens would look the cleanest.

you can always go with the Vizualogic custom headrest...a bit expensive but it's worth every penny over those other brands.

I think another member actually ceiling mounted a lcd screen and parallel it with the idrive display. Of course you will need the video adapter to watch dvd from your idrive. Lots of work though but definitely doable.

that would be aftermarket, as there are aftermarket kits as you described, but the OP asked about OEM...
