Ok after a string of previously modified cars I was somewhat unhappy with BMW's attempt of a sport exhaust fitted to my 530D, yeah yeah I know it's a diesel, but does that mean the exhaust shouldn't look more fitting for the car?
I was unimpressed with the standard twin 2.5" exit exhaust that BMW have fitted, however couldn't justify spending £££'s on a new backbox and also there is a very limited choice available for diesels.
I didn't want a quad setup as my car is a diesel not an M5, (however I do have more torque than an M5)
Anyone onto the pics:
Custom made 3.25" slash cut rolled in lip, T304 stainless steels tips.

No change in noise which I wanted but a massive visual improvement over the standard tips imo.
A subtle mod, that only another E60 owner would probably notice, fitted with a light staggered effect to match the curve in the bumper as per the original tips.
Thanks for looking.

Very nice and also liking the 'stealth' boot lid badge.
I agree, the standard BMW tips are pretty lame.
Where did you get these and how much? I may be interested.
On another note, have you considered an OEM M5 trunk finisher? I have just placed an order for one. The only downfall is it will cover the boot lock...in case the battery funks up and you need access. However, my understanding is that there are some manual workarounds to getting the boot open.

Nice, stylish little mod. How much did it set you back and how long did it take to swap?

Custom tips were made by a good friend who owns a metalwork shop, T304 stainless steel and got them at mates rates, would have been about £35 ish, fitted at an exhaust specialist, took about an hour to remove old tips and graft new ones in place with some welding.
