I saw this the other day in the new roundel. It looks like a BMW version of a VAG-con. I'm interested, but a bit disappointed on the low end one that can only work on 3 cars.... not unlimited # of cars for $350-400, you have to lay out for the $800 kit for that. Kinda lame.

Can I update the Progman with that?
If not it's shit.
If not it's shit.
A diagnostic tool is not to update the car... Its to diagnose things that can be going wrong with your car. rather than taking it to the dealer every time...

Hi
This diagnostic tool can NOT update the SW in the car , as right written it's a tool for fault-finding , not updating , at this time the only software that can update ( total coding ) the SW of newer BMW's is the PROGMAN software , you can buy this ( very expensix ) , but your problem is to get the PROGMAN "update's" ( V31-V31-1 V32.0 etc. ) , only Aut. BMW dealership's have acces to thees DVD's , and furtur more they now don't come to the dealers as a DVD anymore ( after V32.0 ) , now they get there computeres updatet "online" direct from BMW in M?nich with the newest SW.
You can with a program called INPA or GT1 , and the right interface , do "some" coding of warius functions , but not a update or "full" coding of the car.
So sorry "gay's" no shortcut here , with some coding we don't come by the Aut. BMW dealership , not at the moment.

Ben, do they download the Progman by internet or they update the car directly by internet? I don't think the second, because if for some reason they lost the connection ...
