My Ride: 2005 Black Sapphire Metallic 545i
I have the sport package 545i so I got style 138 17" rims, and they said because I have runflat dunlops on my 18's I need certain dunlop snow tires? Didn't sound right to me but I didn't know, any others had this happen?

Heh. No, you do not need special snow tires. (And don't let the dealership BS you that the car was "designed" for runflats or some crap like that.)
You can get any brand of snow tire you wish, just as long as it's the correct size for whatever rim you're putting it on.

Yeah, your dealer is throwing a load of cr@p. Like what was recommended, go with tirerack.com. Great site and great selection, prices and service. I went with 18" Mille Miglia 5-spoke rims with Dunlop Wintersport tires.
