Has anyone installed the BMW Advanced DVD system on their E60? This is the 2 monitors fitted behind each headrest with a 6 DVD changer in the trunk option. What I want to know is whether the sound can be received through the car's audio system or if its limited to the wireless headphones supplied. If anyone has installation instructions, I would be most grateful.

Hi. Yes the sound comes through your speaker system as well.

Have u installed this system already or u r planning to do it? How much will it cost u?

Planning to install. Still waiting for price quote from my dealer. However, dealer's preliminary information is that sound will NOT come through speaker system. Its through wireless headphones only. If so, that is a no-go for me. Hence, trying to find out what is the real deal from those who had installed it. Can I ask where you got the info from? Many thanks. Cheers.

MODS:M-tech front bumper, Painted Grill, Installed Aux-In, Garage Door Opener (Overhead Compartement), ///M Steering wheel, Wood hand brake trim, Wood gear-shift lever. 35% Tint all around.. Got, ACS Roof Spoiler, but not installed..

i am sorry to say that from what i know the sound only comes from the wireless speakers...i dont think the system has anything to do with the idrive,,,,i think its a completely diffrent system. and if he does make the sound form the speaks, he should be using the Aux-in of the idrive system...not sure of this...though...
