BMW 535i xdrive 2009 Coilover Question
#1
Looking to drop the car from stock suspension. i dont have sport package in the car so its just stock. looking between KSport and KW. There are so many different models. could anyone give me some advice to which on fits on my 535i xdrive its AWD. ksport has 2 models GT pro and kontrol pro. and kw has v1, v2, v3, clubsport and street comfort. my needs for these are to drop the car to lose the gap between the fender and the wheels. but i dont want to lose the comfort level of the current ride. i also want to be able to adjust for time when i just want to have the handling of a sports car. thanks in advance!

BlaSTiWi's right, the Variant 3 is the only option for the xdrive from KW. I can recommend it 100% though. My friend (member Seipäänreikä) has it on his 530xd and it rides very smoothly. Here's his thread:

so ksport coilovers dont fit? also i wanted to know how much on average is the install at a shop? and how do you adjust the height or softness/hardness of the suspension? would you need to take off the wheels everytime to access the change? and how much should i expect the v3's to cost?

I don't know about the KSports. When I got my KW Street Comfort installed for my 530d, the shop took 250? for the install and four wheel alignment.
The wheel must be taken off when you want to change the height. A four wheel alignment is also needed after changing the ride height. Adjusting the softness/hardness can be done on the upper end of the strut and the wheel doesn't need to be removed.
