Question BMW 520I E60 mods

So i recently bought my first car the BMW 520I 2004 i love the car but i want to do something with the performance i was thinking about chip tunning though the mechanic said since the car doesnt have a turbo motor it´s not worth it you will only gain 15 HP and 21nm torque now im looking for a turbo kit that is compatible with the 520I. if anyone else have some performance mods that are compatible with my car please share them

Edit 1: so i´ve searched around for a m54b30 engine but didn't find any that are worth my while, if there are any other alternatives you can suggest please comment down below

What year do you have. To me I would have spent a little more for a bigger engine model since that's what you're going to spend to get the current car to what you want.

to the forum. Unfortunately, there's not much you can do with the 520 or 530 series engines. They are what they are. As seanjordan20 suggests, you'd have to have a 535, 540 or 550 in order to make it worth your while. On the plus side, your fuel economy is much better than with the other models.

The 2 biggest ways for HP are displacement and forced induction. Not sure how easy it is to source a M54B30 where you are but that'll give you a big jump in power. Beyond that some ZHP cams and a tune will be the max you can get reasonably

easiest way is to buy another E60 - don't waste money trying to get more HP on your current ride
