Came across this, but didnt see anything come up on a quick search here. Is this essentially a Sprint Booster-like product?
Interested since it obviously seems to be focused on the N52, which i have. Hard to believe the performance gains advertised, but i'm sure with better breathing through some mods it could possibly have a considerable cumulative effect towards some gains.

"Finally, thanks to Burger Motorsports there is a tuner available for the N52 motor (128i, 328i etc. See below for a full list of applications). The BMS Power Box remaps the throttle mapping for better throttle response, and an increase in horsepower and torque. The Power Box features easy installation and removal, and gas pedal switching between 7 performance maps. The Power Box shows power gains from 8-10 horsepower and 8-10 Ft./Lbs. of torque at the rear wheels on a dyno. Upgrade your vehicle's power and drivability with the BMS Power Box.
The BMS Power Box is purely plug and play and installation only takes roughly 20 minutes, and only requires basic hand tools. It is completely reversible, and no cutting of any wires is needed. Installation is very discreet and allows most customers to leave the Power Box installed for routine service.

The BMS PBX unit by itself will be good for 10hp/10tq. Couple it with intake and exhaust and you should be good for 15-20hp gains total...
It's not too popular with the E60 crowd but if you do a quick search on E90post you will see loads of satisfied users. Let me know if I can get you a price on one of these units

Thanks Cal. Almost sounds too good to be true based on what i'm reading, but the customer dyno's are impressive considering the cost/practicality of this modification.
Feel free to PM me with a quote, its a mod that'll have to prioritize in the coming weeks.

I have had it installed for 3 months now and LOVE the thing. It totally transforms your driving experience. The throttle response is so much more direct and immediate as well a nice kick in power that is definetly noticable. What sold me on it were the tons and tons of positve reviews and literally not ONE negative review. There are atleast 3 or 4 dynos around showing good gains and more importantly than peak gains, there are consistent gains across the entire powerband. Search on the e90post.com boards and you will see countless good reviews.
For the 300 bucks it is really worth it-you can turn it on and off and you really notice the difference after having it and then turning it off-your car feels like an absolute slug without it-go for it.
It is not really like the JB3 as that pretty much increase the turbo boost as well as ignition timing and a/f ratio but really its ramping up boost and that is why it makes big hp.
On the n52 naturally aspirated-the changes the tune makes is twofold-it advances spark timing more than the max advance of the stock computer. It also richens the a/f mixture-so across the entire band and even more at WOT you have a richer mixture. This is done in order to more safely advance the spark timing-so you dont run the risk of detonation from early spark advance-rich mixtures resist detonation. Plus it maximizes a complete burn when there is ample fuel for the air. Stock system goes rich when at WOT so that is how max power is typically created.
Also of note gas mileage for me actualy improved consistently over 3 months by 1.5 mpg-so its a win win situation
