Yup. Very illegal. Only cops/emergency services can have blue lights. Although, member LI-M5 has had them on his M5 forever. He works in Manhattan and to my knowledge, hasn't been pulled over for those. Has been pulled over at the tunnels a million times for no front plate, but that's a whole different matter altogether.
