If that's the choice, I'd go for matte.

I was just looking through some M3 pix on bmwusa.com and found this:
Attachment 83854
Now I'm actually thinking a CF vinyl roof would look nice on my AW...
so yeah, for me its between glossy CF and matte black... back to square one, basically...

My lovelies, I've come upon a new pondering that has not previously been brought up in the process of consideration of all pros and cons of a vinyl roof, here's what's up: ok, y'all know how e60 has this issue with sunroof drains clogging and - if left unchecked - it leads to major electronic failures - we're talking ECU and the whole 9!!! So, the new "splinter in my mind" is, would the vinyl roof somehow deteriorate that situation and lead to drains clogging up more than "normal", hence leading to warranty being voided and eventually - potentially - costing a whole lot more than the couple-three hundred to do the vinyl. I'm talking 5-6 grand possibly, so we need to KNOW!

Where are these drains????
Few threads on the subject:

I think there might be a bulletin out on this, but the problem is, I think, if I put on a vinyl roof, the dealer might claim that the vinyl caused the issue altogether and refuse to fix at BMW's cost. Which, again, could end up being thousands of dollars...

I don't see how vinyl on the roof will affect sunroof draisn though.
I don't have warranty anyway, it doesn't rain much here so hopefully will be ok.

And BTW, if you read the threads I linked to earlier, you'll see that BMW fixes this even if your car is out of warranty, bc this is a design flaw.
I suppose, though, you can probably remove the vinyl pretty easily if anything happens before taking the car to the dealership...
Still, anyone out here with a vinyl roof already installed wanna chime in on this?

I don't know how it can really affect, but I can see how the dealer can claim it and get away with it.
