I really want to get carbon fiber interior trim for my car and I found this. It looks amazing.

I just wanted to know how good it is and if anyone has used it.
Do you have to remove the iDrive controller and plastic trim piece for the shifter?

Thank you

That does look amazing. I wish they had it for LCI cars.

Haha finally something better about Pre-LCI

I am sure there are other trim sets out there for LCI cars though.

It makes me wonder how it will maintain proper clearance for the iDrive knob and button. Also, the thickness of overlays usually makes their presence too obvious. That is a really good price, but I think it may be one of those things that you will have to not only be insanely meticulous when applying, but will have to monitor on hot days incase there is any flexing or warping. One minute imperfection and these things will look like junk. I would keep saving and buy the real deal. Thats what I am doing, I do not like the wood in my car so I am setting a little aside to get the aluminum cube style interior. I think you will be happier whit something you know fits solid and its't potentially causing damage to the material underneath.

I do not think the plastic would warp. I might be wrong but wouldn't the Carbon Fiber actually prevent it from warping in the heat?

Ok the bimmian panels are out of the question. I just realized that the panel under the CD drive is wood. The Bimmian trim is only an 8 piece set. And I have 9 panels. I might get the panels wrapped in CF fabric from Nerweezy.

We carry the Bimmian brand overlays as well as the CF trim wrap. The overlays are a very straight forward install and I find to be the best solution as they reuse the factory trim underneath. That way you do not have to remove the OEM trim or deal with misfitting aftermarket trim.

The CF Trim wrap is also a good option but does require that you remove the factory trim. It is also a carbon leather look rather than a gloss carbon.

How much does a carbon wrap cost?
