My Ride: 2008 Jet Black MTech 550i
2005 Black Sapphire Sport Package 545i
Like most of you, I'd like to be able to adjust the ride height on my 5. Right now, I've got the sport suspension and I actually do like it very much; one problem though, I bought some new wheels that were supposedly guaranteed to fit ...they dont!!! The front tires actually are sitting right up against the spring seats while still up on the jacks. Look at the pics. I'm waiting for a response on the guarantee; but in the mean time, I'm looking at alternative solutions. It looks like some slimmer spring seats might do the job or possibly some height adjustments could solve this too. Anyone have this issue before? I was looking into the Bilstein B16 coilovers; any recommendations??? HELP!

Your offsets must be way off, especially if they're only 8.5" wide. Will the shop you bought the wheels from take responsibility for replacements? If I were you, I would I'd be unhappy correcting the problem with spacers.

They're 21x8.5 wheels and tires are 255/30-21.

I had the Bilstein B16 PSS10 coilovers installed & slightly adjusted and the wheels slide right in! They are actually a 21x9 w/ 18mm offset (front). Check 'em out.

Your drop looks refined. Not too slammed, but not too much gap either. Glad you got your rubbing issues resolved.
