Bro, honestly, when people say things like "I've been working on these cars for 30 yrs...", I run.

I'm not saying your guy is bad, just sharing my POV

You will have NO problems. No problems with FTM, no problems with rotation MPH whatever, no computer issues, no errors, no odometer being a problem, no incorrect MPG calculation.
Michael knows his shit - proven. Bet you at least 100 people from this forum can say he helped them where others hesitated!

And I'm not even "friends" with him - as a matter of fact, we've had our differences in the past. I just try to stay objective and give credit where it is due.

I'm not worried about him seeing as he's known me ever since I was born, and he and his wife just so happen to be my godparents haha so needless to say, I trust him.

However, I do know he's biased towards the E39 and isn't fond of the E60 so I'll definitely trust yall's knowledge on this one!

+1 on that

I run 245/40/19 in the front and 275/35/19 on the rear on the style 166 (odd sizes)

And have ZERO issues, I know my speedometer might be off by 3% but I don't care since I have 2 times the protection a person would have running 245/35 and 275/30 's.

I care about my wheels more and hence prefer the protection more than anything.

The dude you go to needs to retire now (lol)

He warned me that my speedometer and odometer could be seriously effected and that the computer could start throwing out tons of error codes and that its not worth it. He said that the E39 didn't have this problem (he's partial to the E39 still).

I've searched the forums and came up empty handed soooo...

I've noticed that all of the members here who's cars didn't come stock with style 166's magically have them on their cars and don't complain about errors. Is it just a simple trip to the dealer to reset it? Or is the fact my car is old, from 03/2004 with 16" wheels, the problem?
LOL
This is a 1st.
If this is so then that mean not just E60 car can not change it is all BMW cars
I have had 4 BMW cars and all have change wheels to bigger 1s and 2 inch in size and never had a error code.
also some of my friends change wheels and was court speeding and the speedo and the police reading were the 99% same.
The think to what out for is if you have a wheels which is 1cm bigger or smaller than the stock then it will be diffrent to speed

That is not so, even the owners manual give you options on larger size wheels.
