I have been very happy with the Continental TS810. A year ago they were rated extremely high. Colorado winters, for the non-high mountains, are not that bad when it comes to heavy accumulations of snow and ice so be aware that you need to match the tire's strengths with your driving enviornment.

If I lived in the high mountains, at 9,000 ft (Breckenridge), I'd probably get a different tire. Good luck.

I have been using the Blizzak LM-22's and LM-25's for years. I love them. I'm about to install another set on my X5 for winter. I've never tried the Dunlop 3D's, but according to my discussions with the folks at Tire Rack, the Blizzaks are one of the best tires (outside of studded tires) that you can get for winter. However, they did say that if you're in an area where it snows occassionally, but is always cold during the winter, the Dunlops might be better suited as they aren't as soft as the Blizzaks, thus handling better on dry roads. For me though, I want to make sure that my cars are glued to the road as best as possible, in snow and ice conditions, even if it's not that often. Better safe, than sorry.

I think the harsher ride of the wintersport 3D's is because they are more of a performance winter tire. I currently have the pirelli wintersport 210's and they are crap compared to the dunlop wintersport 3D's that I had.
They are harsher because they have an XL load rating.

cleung, is the winter in Saskatchuwan harsher than Toronto?

I wonder how well the dun lop 3Ds would work around here.... tirerack doesnt seem to have my sizes for the blizzaks.

Is there anyother place i could look at?

In Saskatchewan we have more snow and colder weather, but you guys get more wet slushy stuff than we do.

Try tiretrends.com and 1010tires.com I believe they are both Canadian sites but I don't think they are as cheap as tirerack
