Best way to remove the 545i Emblem

I want a clean look so i am going to remove the trunk lid emblem. I just have never done it and would like to know what is the best way to do this. do i just pop them off? or should i apply heat?

Heat the numbers with a hair dryer. Use floss behind them in a sawing motion. Careful--they'll fall off easily. Pull off what leftover adhesive you can with your fingers, then use Goo-gone to get the rest. A little wax and buffing to finish.

Yep exactly how I did mine too. I actually used alot of goo gone on mine but it still left a shadow a little bit. I didn't really mind it and had it like that for over a year. When I got my porter cable polisher I used it on the car and it got rid of the shadow completely like there was nothing there. Nothing else was able to get rid of it.

What does it matter what other think? Even if someone thinks its a 6 cylinder car and tries to race it they will lose. You won't ever know what someone else thinks unless they were to actually tell you.

odds are though that if a car is debadged, it has the smaller motor.

+1 with Cal: a little heat, floss, patience, and adhesive remover (like goo-gone) and you are good to go...

i didnt use a drier or anything to heat it up

just powered through the mess and then wiped it off with goo-gone

:l

...worked just fine
