I have a non sport 525i and I want to drop it about 1" and still maintain the ride. Would HR springs do the job? My daily commute is 8 miles round trip on decently maintained roads or 16 miles if I go home for lunch. My car just turned 50k over the weekend. What's the best way should I go?

You're not gonna push Ksports on me are you? j/k. If I can do it for about $300 and it will last for the next 2 years I'd do it. However, I did say the best way to go around it based on my drive routine above. Mainly, I don't want to sacrifice the existing ride.

My Ride: 530I Silver gray with gray leather with Premium Package, Logic 7 Premium sound system with Ipod interface, xenon adaptive headlights, Active steering, Power retractable rear sunshade, Comfort seats, Cold weather package and M5 OEM 166 wheels, Sprintbooster. Ceramic Tint all around, Bilstein Sports shocks with Eibach springs, Brake performance Rotors and Axxis ceramic pads.
I say eibach springs will do it. It is close to sport suspension ride. I have an eibach springs and Bilstein sport shocks set up on my car. Like you, I am concerned about the ride quality. My set up does the job. GL

50K miles on the shocks...you might want to swap the shocks out also...but then again, for the price of springs + shocks, you can get a set of ksports

+1000 Especially since the Eibachs or H&R's are around $250 + install (around $300+ alignment) and they will kill what's left of the life of your OEM shocks.

Cheapest method up front would be Eibach springs but your shocks have a lot of mileage on them and can't guarantee they'll last for another 2 years. The other downside is you will definitely hit the bump stops when you hit big bumps/dips. The upside is you don't drive very many miles so it may last but you won't know until it's too late.
The cost of new shocks are going to cost you ~$700 if you go aftermarket like Koni.
Hahaha don't worry I'm not going to push anything on you. I only recommend what I feel like is the best option regardless if I make a sale or not.

From softest to stiffest, what order would it be? Is this about right?
non sport with Eibach pro
stock sport
Bilstein sport \Eibach prokit combo
ksport (softest setting)
