Was this a DIY? I expect not. How would I go about getting this done? I live in Connecticut, USA.

I believe there is a DIY somewhere, but it is a fairly simple mod. Your basic auto parts store should sell a complete caliper painting kit with everything you need. you dont really need to worry about over spray or even taping things off as it comes with a little brush and can of paint. The only thing I advise is to really clean the calipers well, there were a few spots I hit that I didnt clean well enough and it smeared dirt and grime. just had to let it dry and paint over. 3 coats each and I was satisfied. good luck

The 124's are not my favourite rims ( I had them als before i went 172's), but painting them black gives it another dimension. On a black car the rims actually looks good. Well done !
