Best LED's for angels on 05 E60..??.
Hey guys
I've got a 2005 e60 an I'm really craving the white angel eyes.. I bough some LEDs from eBay error free but you can't really seem them during the day at all an at night the HID's over shadow them so again you can't really seem them...??.
Anyone recommend some good LEDs please, btw my car has the h7 bulbs an I need 4 LEDs to power each ring...

MTEC has one of the better heat sink designs for E60, LED Angel Eyes: MTEC BMW Angel Eye LED Bulbs
You can find them on on EBAY as well:
Mtec Ultimate 12W V3 LED Angel Eye Bulbs BMW E39 E60 E65 E66 E83 x3 E53 X5 | eBay
You should be able to get about 3 years out of the MTEC's before the heat destroys them.
Most (90+%) of what you see advertised on the Internet/Ebay, etc., will get you around 12 - 18 months before they're fried.
Remember, LED's like it cool, and Halogens like it hot. And therein lies the longevity problem.
LED's require advanced heat sink designs while OEM/Halogens don't mind the heat one bit.
However, heat sinks are (relatively) expensive and they must fit into very tightly compacted spaces.

Hi, however the options you guys mention are only good for Factory HID headlamps. From what I understand the OP has Halogen Factory lights.. MTEC option does not work. The Umnitza option would be the only one that can work for the nonHID lamp but I find that $130 for just 4 x 1.4W Hi Power Forward and Side Facing LED is a bit on the high side..

I want to use the bright white rings as DRL's an the ones I have now are not really visible during the day..
Has anyone replaced the rings..?!. If so which rings did you buy an where from...
