My Ride: 2008 550I LOADED, all options except HUD and NV
1) Charcoal filter deletion mod, open your airbox where the air filter is located, in the upper housing there's a Charcoal Filter - remove it, it's useless and robs power. Cost? Free
2) Get some black vinyl from BMWshadowline.com and cover that nasty chrome around the windows. Cost? $22.00/roll
3) Euro stickers from Akalius. cost - $25
4) RPI Scoop and BMC filter. $200
5) Lighting mods from John@motorcepts. Cost - whatever you choose to buy, mild to wild
Those 5 will start you off right

Keep the car washed (everyday if you can). The best thing you can do to a Black car - which looks brilliant for about 10 mins after it has been washed.

Welcome, and excellent choice in car; you are clearly wise beyond your years.
For mods you should be clear whether it's for show - or go. When I was 18 it was clearly show and now I tend to want go. The more you make the car look the business, the more attention, including unwanted blue stroboscope light kind of attention. I think stylish original msport mods look great without screaming "arrest me".
Your car looks fairly standard so I would aim for lower sidewall tyres and stiffer suspension, to get a more sporty ride. Chipping wont do much good which is otherwise a great option on turbocharged cars. A great little mod for about 200 bucks and 15 mins of DIY work, is to get an adjustable sprint booster. It doesn't make the car faster, and your passengers wont know the difference, but for you, it feels like a world of difference as the car wilt jolt ahead even when you feather the throttle. It makes it feel like you got a much bigger engine as it cheats your brain that you get so much response for so little input.
