I don't think it's required since it's basically a 'stick on' but I think it's better if they take it off so that when they put it on for the first few hrs, the splitter gets a firm press to the bumper when they use glue/double sided tape to put it on.

It's actually mounted with a bunch of screws using factory mounting points. I watched Darwin remove mine on my old 545 and he jacked the car up a bit to get at the screws.

my bad for the wrong information. The car is actually already tinted =/ It has 30% tint on the sides with 50% on the front. Maybe it was because of the sun light going through that made it seem like clear windows. Either that or I need a new 20% tint!
