Ive read a few diy post on here and am pretty unsure of what i want to do. I have manged to do some of the work to my car myself and was thinking i should tackle the battery replacement and oil change this month. My car only has 5,500 hundred miles and 9 months on it since the last change but im not waiting a full year or 15k like they say. Oil change wont be a problem. The battery on the other hand is. Anyone have any recommendations on what battery i should buy to replace the factory one? I have read peoples post and seen a few different ones. Also im still unsure if there is any programming that will be required when installing a new battery. Anyone know the whole story on replacing the battery? Any recommendations appreciated.

Changing the battery is pretty basic...It's the same process as any other car except its in the trunk...You won't need any reprogramming....As far as brand, I believe its going to be more of a opinion based question....G/l with your install....
I replaced mine with a werker battery (pricey @ $149) and its a direct replacement. So easy to do and really nothing special in terms of installation and programming. For me it was a simple plug and play and no problems since. g/l

I just replaced mine about a month ago. I tried to get the Werker Battery but the guy at Batteries Plus told me they were replaced by Rayovac. I got the Rayovac and that one is made in Germany just like Werker.
