I recently changed out my battery (recently means a few weeks ago).

At the time, the current dying battery was already a different one (i bought used so i'm not sure of the reason) -- but that battery had no vent hose -- so when i replaced it with a new one, obviously i had no vent hose for that one either. My dad who is my go to for general car related inquiries told me it should be fine for the time being but eventually i should get one

Well a few days ago when i jacked my car up to install my exhaust, i noticed an greasey spot on the underside of my car right below where the battery sits -- I haven't checked into it (this just dawned on me and i'm at work)

A. does anyone know where i can get this vent hose?
B. i don't think i'd be able to tell if this grease spot is from the battery venting even if i opened up the compartment and removed the battery, is there anything else that coudl be causing a leak in that small section of the car?

did you do the battery swap yourself?
wasnt there a hose laying in the battery compartmnent? its just a small clear vinyl tube with an elbow on the end that attaches to the battery vent hole.

I did the battery swap myself, and no there wasn't.

I made SURE to look for it because the DIY i followed had the reconnection of the vent hose as a step
