No, but I reached max 120-130 kmh till now: no motorway to come here.
During next days I will move to another village on another part of Alps through mountains and on 6-7 Jan I will come back home from there by motorway and I will be able to test 170-200 kmh.
Till 120-130 kmh no diffence in noise. Plus skis are aerodynamic. Will see at major speeds.

Edit: today I saw another E60 with these bars
for any kind of ski holder the max suggested speed is 130km/h especially when you have skies and snowboards mounted!

It's simple, there are instructions in the box: you have to position in the right place then tighten with the tool given by BMW.
Pics when I will unmount them.

Sounds good.....let us know if it mars the paint, like a typical Thule roof rack does

Check it out,

http://forums.e60.net/index.php?s=&sho...st&p=514097

That's a post for my car earlier this year. The OEM bars have rubbers on them and doesn't mess up the paint on the car.

As you can see in my post, and the pics, its well protected.

Yes, more noise above 120 kmh: very noticeable.
I tried 150-160 kmh (100 mph) and it is noisy, you can clearly hear the wind.

More drag against the car too which translates to worse gas mileage......but if you take it on and off as needed then it's no biggie
