I usually use my iPod for music but its only 16GBb and I'd like to have access to more of my collection. I used to have a 500GB in the car but I always had problems with it, it would randomly switch to radio and not let me go into the gateway. I used a program to preindex the music so I don't have to rely on the car to do that since its so slow. I figured it had bad performance because it had moving parts, so I purchased a 32GB flash drive today which has no moving parts and I thought it would perform better. Have only 1300 songs on it and its performing no better. Anyone have similar issues? Am I better off getting a big used ipod to keep in my glovebox, will that perform better? I want to be able to navigate the music as smooth as my ipod can.
