Back-up Camera
Hey guys I have a E60 with iDrive. I can't remember which forum I saw an after market that works with iDrive. Also it allow you to play video while in motion.
What do you guys recommend? On that forum i saw there was this guy up in the bay area that was selling them and was doing the installation for free. I am down in So. California (Riverside) anybody down here in Orange/Riverside county? And how much does it cost?
Sorry if my descriptions (BMW language) is not correct, I am new to the BMW world, my first BMW ( 2010 528i).
I appreciate you input.

you might be able to get the video in motion feature via coding rather than hardware...
for hardware: http://www.europeanautosource.com/pr...oducts_id=2923
IIRC: that site also has a back up camera kit..
if not, here's another site for a back up camera kit: http://www.alekshop.com/multimedia

Has anyone out there tried one of this two options? If so, please comment. Option number one is here local in So. Cal and the other is northern Cali. Guy in So Cal wants $600 with one camera (back) plus $300 installation. Guy from Nothern Cali. $600 includes two camera (front and back) don't know about installation haven't been able to contact them.
Once again I really appreciate your comments.

modmynav and eas use the same supplier for the module. Alekshop uses a different supplier. But all are Korean.
One thing that NO ONE ever mentioned on this forum is that if you have a Manual car then the module cannot detect the Reverse Gear off the CAN BUS and uses a long wire connected between the rear reverse lights. I did it differently and connected it up front at the LCM itself - much easier.

Run long wires from the trunk lid (and/or from the front bumper if you want front cam like I got) into the dash for the rear cam, tear apart the dash for wiring behind the in-dash CD & iDrive screen.
I got mine from Black Friday special price, I've seen Kris ran a group buy here once before.
