My Ride: 2004 530i premium package/active steering/auto sunshade/tiag/black dakota leather/logic 7 35% tint all around 19' DPE GT7

Hey guys

I'm pretty excited as I have just bought a B&B exhaust from member zelement and should be receiving it soon. My question is what should I expect? I keep reading that it is very load, but nothing about and hp loss or gain. I know the quality is supposed to be top notch but I have no personal experience with billy boat. The last aftermarket exhaust I had was a rogue engineering dms exhaust on my e46 325 and I loved it, does anyone know how this might compare? the rogue dms exhaust was also known for being quite load but I thought it was great.

I can't comment on the B&B on a 530, as I had it on my 545. I can tell you on the 545 it is LOUD, by my standards. don't rip out any resonators until you try it first.

I've read that some have said its loud so I wasn't planning on getting rid of any resonators right off the bat. Did you notice any performance losses?

not really, but low end torque is plentiful on the 545, so it is harder to notice any small losses.

I have a BB on my 530 and yes, it's loud, but the hardest part to live with is the drone. I actually had a muffler shop install a Magnaflow resonator right before the muffler to quiet it down a bit. Dave (flyingpuck) had a cone custom-built by BB to lower the drone, but I'm not sure if they would make it on a case-by-case basis. I think he would be kind enough to get a group buy started so they would consider making them for us if we get >10 folks signed up.
