So, why can't Dinan's 545i exhaust fit the 550i? B&B exhaust works just fine on either car.

I'm sure you can make it fit. I mean if you really wanted to, you can fit any muffler as long as it's small enough and you use the right size piping. The problem is that it's not "tuned" to that specific car.

I remember trying to get the Remus universal muffler that has carbon fiber tips but they recommended against that. Even though it's a "universal" muffler.

Dinan exhaust is just a through pipe from resonator to the dual exhaust tip. It means that if you use a toilet snake with a 3.5" diameter (I know it never exists) and running from the exhaust tip, it'll go all the way from the tip to the resonator.
Muffler is stuffed with some sound damping material.
This means that both 545 and 550 can use the same Dinan exhaust. The only thing different is pipe diameter and the angle that Dinan exhaust pipe run.
For 545 and 550, exhaust pipe angle are different, so I think, that's why Dinan needs my car to make an exhaust for 550i. With 545 Dinan exhaust mouting on 550, it'd take 2 to 3hrs time to bend and fit it onto 550i. Now they develop new exhaust that's plug and play which takes only 40 min to install. This cut their labor dramatically.

Like I mentioned before, all aftermarket exhaust alter BMW's torque and power curves. It increases top end hp but takes away low end torque due to absence of back pressure at low rpm.

Is there any aftermarket exhaust that won't cause a loss of low-end torque? Is there a way to modify existing stock 545/550 exhaust to a quad? Or will modifying stock also cause a loss of torque? No mention of RD Sport! Too much $$$

This is the whole point that Eisenamann made this exhaust - keeps torque low down with the exhaust valve.
By using small round cannisters (compared to stock) there will be an increase in V8 rumble...

I'm considering this one seriously. Comes in 76mm or 83mm versions (order no. B5256.00760)

This is great, Andy. I wish I can hear it in person how it sounds when starting up and during crusing. Quad exhaust would be a real challenge. I'm not sure if there is any aftermarket exhaust has flapper feature. If it does, it would double the cost of Eisenman as Andy showed above.

I like the looks of the Eisenmann. I actually like the look of most other aftermarket exhaust mufflers over the Dinan believe it or not. Their muffler looks shitty to me. haha
