My Ride: 2006 550 SMG
I am about to purchase a used B&B exhuast from a 2005 545 for my 2006 550. Does anyone know if the 550 uses a different spec exhaust. Will the B&B from the 545 work on my 550? Anyone experience low end torque loss?

I know that brian1225 fitted the B&B exhaust for a 545 on his 550. The exhaust system is the same for both cars. My opinion and shared by others is that with most aftermarket exhaust systems you will lose some low-end torque but gain top-end hp. Is that a fair trade-off for you?

I guess you didn't hear iceman316's exhaust this last weekend. I heard him coming before I saw him... 
The loudest exhaust for an e60 would be what he has. The Eisenmann M5 race exhaust.

Hmm....I thought they were different since Dinan took a while to come out with the 550 exhaust and even after they got it, they redesigned it (using my530i's car as a test mule). Weird...

Don't know what to tell you. I heard it from the horse's mouth (brian1225) that his B&B on his 550i is for a 545i.
