aux input w/ Sat radio

My Ride: 04 BMW 530i (6/04 built), M-tech kit installed, Prem pkg, Sports pkg, Logic 7 system, Aux input, 10.2 inch DVD player, auto rear shade with manual side shades, 6 speed auto, Oriental blue with Gray interior, and 35% window tints all over the car.
06 Yamaha FJR1300A
86 Kawasaki KZ100p
well my first post here! I have 04 530i. It has logic7 audio with sat radio. Is it possible to add the aux input to my logic7 system? My parts or service reps at local dealership do not a clue. Am I going to lose Sat radio if I add the aux input? Will I drive recoqnise both sat radio and aux input? My software version is 16.2. with no nav.

I'm pretty sure that you can have the aux input and sat radio. The problem is that I don't think there's a US part number for the aux input yet. Many dealers won't do the install because of this. There are some dealers that will do it though so you pretty much have to ask...
There is a ton of information here on the aux input including information on which dealers have done it and who your dealer can call to get information on how to do it. Use the search function and see what you can come up with. If you need more help after that, just ask!

you can have CD, CD Changer, Sat, and Aux.... download the aux PDF and bring it to the dealer....

If you're going with a rear-seat DVD player, you might consider using an FM modulator instead of aux in.
Now if you're looking to use an iPod, that's a different story...

I have a portable dvd player for my daughter in the rear seat. The DVD monitor is hooked up to the passenger headrest with temporary system. The DVD volume output is not that great. I will use its sound output to the aux in to use the logic 7 system. I will post pictures later.
