What a run-around. I have an 05' 530i. Some people say there is an AUX input under the armrest console. Some dealers wanted $300+ to install an AUX input in the glovebox saying it takes several hours labor + a $75 part. Is there not an adapter for the CD change to AUX available yet? Will there be one in the future? Any help in this area would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the board. FWIW, posting the same question multiple times doesn't get you a quicker answer...I responded to your other post.

You need to get the dealer to install it. They normally put it in the glovebox. Also they need to reprogram the iDrive. The cost varies depending on the dealer and location. I paid ~ $275(USD) installed. Where are you located? In the States or abroad? Do a serch for that topic and you will find a lot of threads on it.

seems straightforward install for the brave.
but the pitfall is that the ccc needs to be coded to work.
so procedure is .... diagnose ccc bring to point of installation ....install aux wiring then code ccc to recognise and accept no errors in programming,in all aprox 4 hours programming and fitment, although the bullitin states 1-2hors so m,y suggestion is order with new car and let them do it when they innitialise the car or wait until some problem with coding and negotiate the job,as unless its a puma case the dealer has to pay for the time. mop
