It is coming as a standard feature on the E60 for the U.S. starting with the March 2006 production (07 model year). My dealer just showed me the bulletin announcing it an hour ago. Unlike the 3-series, it will be located between the cigarette lighters in the *back* seat (i.e., the back side of the driver's center console, where the rear-seat heater buttons are). Both of us thought this was rather odd as the dealers typically add it in the glove box when customers order it as an add-on.

What a run-around. I have an 05' 530i. Some people say there is an AUX input under the armrest console. Some dealers wanted $300+ to install an AUX input in the glovebox saying it takes several hours labor + a $75 part. Is there not an adapter for the CD change to AUX available yet? Will there be one in the future? Any help in this area would be greatly appreciated.

stream is right, the longest that it possibly takes to install is 1.5 hours so anything about 200$ for the install is a complete rip-off !
