Hi,
Thanks to everyone on this forum who provided the necessary information for me to go to iPod heaven in my 530i. I took the part number into my dealer and they charged me $74 (US) for the part and exactly the same dollar amount for the labor to install it. I now can plug my iPod into a lovely little 1/8 in stereo jack inside the glovebox (they mounted the jack underneath the flashlight) and listen to my music without the misery of an FM transmitter.
Thanks again!
Now to tackle the bluetooth mountain...

Yep. Sorry. I was away for a few days. I am in Indianapolis, IN. They basically charged me the same price in labor that the part itself cost.
Thanks!
From an earlier thread bceverly said he was from Indiana I believe.
Thanks!
