I am considering installing the Auxiliary Input for my Ipod. I've been quoted $295 by the dealer. Is that high, low or just about right?

Thanks.

Not sure where you're located, but I paid ~$200 installed. The part was $64 after 10% BMWCCA discount, and the install takes 1 hour--see instructions:

Which dealer did you get it done at?

I just got a quote from BMW Peabody of 235, they are now saying the labor is 2 hours because of reprogramming.

I just ordered the kit from my dealer (Mackey BMW-Tucson). $75 for the kit, plus two hours of labor ($215) because of reprogramming (same reason given to bobbybass). Bad news, the CIP (whatever that is) is down, and I'll have to wait for the install.
