well what I do know is that when u want to autostart your car, it will start off where u last left it, meaning in the summer if u don't want your car to be a oven, just simply turn the ac on before shutting off your car and in a couple of hours when u auto start your vehicle it will blast the ac same goes for the winter for heat

any updates on this?

i'm also debating on getting a remote starter kit or not...

i miss it as my old car had it and it was a very nice feature when freezing out

but this car is so much more advanced lol i dont want it causing any problems

I read somewhere in the manual that you dont need to warm up your car, just dont step on the gas real hard or drive under 25 mph for about some minute or something like that!

What about that rest button?

Isn't it supposed to siphon the heat from the engine into the car?

BMW have an OEM solution to start the car remotely (even via your mobile phone). Its called ThermoCall - check if you dealer will do it for you.
WOW thats amazing....I am definetly going to the dealer to see about this.

"Hi car how are you...It is 6am and 20 degrees outside...can you please start up for me? Thanks babe..see you in a few"

Ahhh...if it only talked back.

ThermoCall is an option that starts the auxillary heater(if installed), and not the engine. Are you sure that it can be programmed to start the actual engine too?

I have a buddy who owns a mobile electronics shop and I asked him about installing a remote starter in my car, cause he did my last one and he wouldn't even touch it. He said it is possible, but the cost would be enormous. Instead of hundreds, you're talking thousands...just for the labor. He said tough shit bro, but I ain't doing your bimmer.
