Hello all-
I am desperately wanting to upgrade my "standard audio" in my 2010 550i. I have seen the Bavarian Soundwerks speaker upgrade, and god knows when the amplifier upgrade will actually hit the market, so I am not going to hold my breath. With the speaker upgrade alone I am some what skeptical, I think the system needs more power as well as a good sub. That puts me with an aftermarket upgrade. I want to keep everything on the dash stock, but I want better speakers and power. I am not opposed to putting a sub in the trunk, I just want it to be tight and not muddy. I live in the Bay Area (East Bay) and If anyone knows of a competent audio house please advise. TECHNIC I hear you are the audio guru, so if you have any input I would be very appreciative. I really don't want to spend over $2,000, and of course I would like to spend much less, but sound is very important to me. Thank you for your help.

I guess stadard audio is the same as in the car I'm upgrading right now. 6,5" "subwoofers" under seats and no amp, right?
My friend who owns the car just wanted more/better bass, so I'm only changing subs and adding an amp.
For subs I use SWS-8, since it fits about right in and sounds good too. The amp will be Pioneer PRS-D8500, but it's too big to fit behind the panels.
I'd love to come over and do the job, you pay for the travel right? =D

My Ride: 2005 545i Sport 6 speed Manual
bsw has been blabbing about that pnp amp for a very long time now, our cars will all be wore out by the time its ready.
i've written to them twice and gotten replies back that it will be ready in a few months, but that was a year ago.
so i just went and did my own upgrades.
