I know that this is rare but seeing how many times some people change out the rims I though i'd ask. Just went to BMW for a vibration while driving. Thought it might be a balancing problem. Came out to be the inside of my rear tires have the metal cables out and it was causing the vibration. They said 1000 for tires and all. so I thought for that or less I might be able to find m6 rims and tires that someone is trying to get rid of or could make some cash for something sitting in the garage. I figure I need new rims too so i'll see what's out there. Let me know if you have them or know anyone.. Thanks!

 

Someone is selling used M6 wheels (style 167s) on the M5 board for $1200. I believe that E60.net member khooger started a thread about it here with a link to the thread about it on the M5 board. Use the search function to locate it.

I guess thats true. See I grew up around cars my whole life so seeing rim's laying around in the garage is something I see all the time. its a shame none of them are m6 rims haha! thanks again for the info!

 

Sorry kiddo, I hate to break the news to you. You have an xi model. The offset for xi is different from the the non xi E60, so the OEM M5 or M6 rims are not going to fit your car.

 

really??? Thanks! I'd rather find that out now then when i get em home haha. they do sell aftermarkets that will fit though right? I see them kinda cheap on some sites but not sure if i trust the quality of them.

 

Check out VMR. They carry rims for the xi model. Member "C'sbimmer" had them on his old xi.

just make sure whatever you buy you state that you have an xi model.. makes a big difference and alot of wheels will not fit your car.. good luck hun.. mel
