I am excited about doing the LCI taillight upgrade, but for the money - this seems like the best bet out there for me. I wrote to them to ask if they are plug and play and if the need coding - but from what I have read, they just plug and bolt in. Any input?

These pictures are from the retailers website, am I wrong to wonder if this is the actual product?

I just found a previous post regarding this, I feel silly, I should really learn to use the search button.

And...

I just got an email back from them that seemed to follow suit with the that thread I just posted a link to -

I asked if they had them in stock, if they could rush ship them and if they require an adapter and/or reprogramming.

They answered, they do not have them in stock, they are 2 or 3 weeks out on special order. They do require an adapter and programming.

Well, the wind is officially out of my sails on this one. I might as well sell this thing before I get in over my head and buy the car that has the features I want. Haha, me and my Honda Civic mentality.

hmmm.... from the pictures you posted, aren't those taillights OEM LCI taillights?
based on the shape of the trunk and the reflectors, that car looks like an LCI to me....

Click the first link on his OP. The second pic is an LCI.

I thought Hella was the manufacturer for BMW on our taillights?? my smoked taillights ARE Hella's and they work perfectly! Though they are NOT LCI, so no cables were needed.

Tonymac

if the second pic is an LCI then he has problems with his lights...as the inner circle is not lit up, and on OEM LCI cars when side lights are on the circle is lit up also (just gets brighter when braking/fog lights on)
something wrong if you just have the LED bars??

+1 Hella is the OEM manufacturer of our lights. I just wish we could somehow get them straight from Hella AND at a cheaper cost then BMW AND get the Euro Spec version. Yeah I guess I am asking for too much here.
