I have the same situation. A 2009 BMW 535 Xdrive with the new Idrive controller and the older Navigation SW with the DVD. I am interested, however I would think that the parts and installation procedure would be different for our vehicles.

Guys I've been emailing Patryk forever, and I'll be ordering tomorrow (right before I jet off to Vegas!). This guy is the man if for nothing else besides putting up with literally back to back rapid fire emails from me. If you guys have questions... don't hesitate to ask him questions. He's really helpful. I hope everyone else on board for this retrofit is as excited as I am. Anyone here in Jersey? I live in Hoboken and it's awesome there's a gentleman not insanely far from here (Kearny) who does installs for this retrofit in conjunction with Patryk.

Cheers. Here's to bring our vehicles up to date (and for people like me who got the E60 right when it came out... bringing our vehicles into the future!)

Patrys....

How many of us need to gather before we get some group buy pricing discount that mentioned below. Are you saying that the group buy discount will only apply to additional options (Combox, 6FL and 6NR)? Thank you.

Yes, I realized that for different cars there might be different parts involved in it. Thus, I was wondering if we can get discount on common parts (Combox, 6FL and 6NR, just the CIC unit, etc) if we managed to get enough interest from people here.

Thank you

Additionally if there is a group buy we can lower the price even more.
However we take each order as a custom order because usually each car spec is different and the CIC/Combox/6NR combo for one car can cost less or more than for the other car.

If I receive a list of VINs with the options each of you would like to retrofit I can reply with detailed pricing.
We really want to make sure everyone will get all parts that are needed to retrofits the options each of you want.

We would be happy to offer you our services but our priority is to make sure everything is done right and that in the end you really get what you wanted so we do not sell "generic" CIC kits.

We can also offer you installation services in FL, NJ, TX, IL, CA and GA.

Thank you

Here are details:
- We need a list of VINs and options that each of you would like to retrofit and we will get back to you with prices
- We can offer a GB pricing if we have at least 4 people
- There is no extra discount if we take 10 or 20 people. We are not wholesalers and we want to make sure everyone will get our full attention and professional service so the amount of time we need to spend on each order will be the same for 1, 4 or 10 orders.

CIC kit:
http://www.bimmer-tech.net/index.php...e61-2003-2010/
GB discount - 10% + iDrive controller with plastic bezel for free

Combox kit:
http://www.bimmer-tech.net/index.php...e61-2003-2010/
GB discount - 30%

6NR kit:
http://www.bimmer-tech.net/index.php...e61-2003-2010/
GB discount - 40%

If the car does not have the Navigation the CIC retrofit will cost more.
If the car does not have the Bluetooth or Telematics preparation the Combox retrofit will cost more.
If the car does not have the 6FL option (USB port in the armrest) the 6NR retrofit will cost more.
There are more conditions, but I am just trying to show you that depending on the car spec the price will be different.

Shipping is included. The installation cost is not included.

Patryk,

This is a very good news to us Thank you for your very prompt response.

Will the Combox comes with any harness to activate it or will it be a software activation?

Now, I am sure people here are wondering about the cost for the following items, since these are the most common condition that people usually have:

If the car does not have the Navigation the CIC retrofit will cost more.
If the car does not have the Bluetooth or Telematics preparation the Combox retrofit will cost more.
If the car does not have the 6FL option (USB port in the armrest) the 6NR retrofit will cost more.
If the car does not have the aux-port in

I am in for this mod btw for sure.

I have also read about the need to obtain latest software update for the car for the smooth install. How do we check the software version of our cars (before going to the stealership)? Is this step necessary?

People please respond to my earlier thread on the list of people and confirm if you are still in. I am excited for this project.

Thank you

The Combox comes with the PnP harness, all necessary connectors and obviously full coding with the Internet and BMW Live.

I am not able to give you pricing for all possible options. If the car does not have Navigation is it an LCI or pre-LCI model?, does it have the TCU?, etc. There are too many variants.

As for the software you do not really need the latest software. It won't hurt to get the car updated but it's not required.

Does this mean metroE60 is committed?
