Even if all cars had five lug nuts, the spacing varies from different car models. For example, the E60 is 5x120, my MDX is 5x114.3. Even if two different car models had the same bolt patter..eg..5x120, the center hub may be of different sizes. Some wheel manufacturers will make universal fit rims that will fit on any cars with the same bolt patterns but they'll have a large center bore to accommodate different hubs for those cars. That's where hubcentric rings come in, to fill that gap and fix the high speed vibrations.
I didn't mean to say hubcentric rings are bad. Just that if you get wheels that are made specifically for your car, they are usually hubcentric-fit and will not need the rings.

Sorta like spacers, except they're for the radius?

I'm gellin...anyone else gellin? Great analogy with the shoes.
Performance-wise, if there's a slack between your wheels and the hub, your car will vibrate at high speeds as if your tires aren't balanced.

I was kidding chuckg... have fun....
![Happy](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/happy.gif)
Nevertheless, my opinion is that... normally... you will see these kind of wheels mounted on a civic, a celica or any other "sport" japanese cars...
This is a wheel for an E60 or E61 (of course it is always a question of taste....)

Actually, I laughed pretty hard when I read your response!!! Then I ripped my friend for showing me the wheels. Personally, I like open five stars, but the rads really caught my eyes even thought they are 10 spokes. anyway, all opinions are appreciated (even negative ones)!!

I don't think they look like BBS wheels at all.
BBS are very minimalist, lightweight, no nonsense designs. And are traditionally 8 double spokes. These are a lot more fussy, like the way the 5 larger double spokes are laid out with the 5 smaller double spokes. And what's up with the 10(!) lug nut holes?
