anyone have a cf trunk?

Hey PTL, is it possible to replace the springs on these trunklids to accomodate the lighter more fragile CF trunklid? From what I recall, the factory springs, even when you adjust them to the last notch are too burly.

I think there were a few issues with fitment of CF trunk. Namely, since it is significantly lighter, you'll have to do something about the springs. Also, I remember something about fitment - like, the shop had to make sure it is alighned properly. But from what I've seen on the pics, it seems to fit very well. But you should remember that most non-OEM parts require some finesse to fit correctly.

you can use different springs or like me just not use them, if you want to use less burly springs just figure out the tension rate and get less ones lol i dunno but kinda makes sense
fitment is great after 5 hours of shaving and aligning....out of the box...good luck lol but yes mine fits like oem would and so does my hood except for one area
