I just wonder how loud would it be if any e60 were to do a straight pipe right from the header. I'm considering to do it.

I took the 2 resonators out of my car....no sound difference at all. All I noticed is increased throttle sensitivity.

i took out my reasonator on my 630i before, and the low end totally drops... the car could hardly move forward until it reaches the high RPM zone...
any bros here face the same issue when the reasonators are out?

I believe for Steptronic, we will lose the low ends, whereas for Manual cars, it is ok for them to take that Reasonator out...

I have tried... and also someone here put in 2 reasonators...resulting in really amazing low end... the pulling power is amazing...

that is strange, because a resonator should only cancel sound. it should not affect airflow (and therefore performance).

the muffler, on the other hand, does both.
