Also powder coating is done not with liquid paint, but the powder is actually a positively charged ion and the rim is charged with a negative ion. Therefore the rim and powder are attracted to each other like a magnet. Hope this was the info you were looking for.

So you chose a high gloss gunmetal finish? You said you were offered two different gunmetal finishes, do you remember the differences or anything that would distinguish between the two?

Its preference really. I just went with the darker gunmetal of the two.

Reza that was not a hookup price and it included all that you mentioned. Its a really great price. All these other places wanted me to just bring in the rims with no tires. This guy could easily charge more for everything he does. Very nice man too.

I'd love to find someone local (Detroit area) that can powder coat rims at a reasonable price and that does good work.

Ace, all I did was do a search online. Typed in powder coat and city. I just called around and went with what I thought was the best price. Good luck.
