My Ride: 2006 BMW M5
Thumbs up

I just found that website about MODS for BMW e60:

http://www.okadaprojects.com/usa/products.htm

They seem interesting.... Anyone have installed any of these?

Plasma Booster (PAT)
Upgrading an ignition system on modern cars can be a challenge: "Does not fit, Engine check light comes on, Misfire and so on.......
The Plasma Booster is EASY to install, works on almost all distributor, waste spark and coil over plug systems.
Available for 1 to 8 channels to fit your application, it is your choice.

Plasma Direct (PAT)
A Revolution in Ignition Technology! The Plasma Direct technology is built in to the coil over plug system, used on many modern cars like BMW, Audi, VolksWagen, Honda, Totota, Subaru, Mitsubishi and many more.
All your need to do is change the ignition coil to one of our perfectly fitted replacement coil and you are DONE.

Plasma Spark (PAT.P)
The Plasma Spark is the Spark Plug Boot (Socket) specially designed and developed to work as a secondary amplifier.

Plasma Ground
The Plasma Ground is a new ignition part for the BMW named "Coil Ground Tuning" !!

Please advice,

the most hp/$ effective mods are probably air filter and scoop and after that, it starts to get more expensive to squeeze more hp. I think this is a good mod, though a tad expensive.

My Ride: I have an 05 545i. It's a manual with a few options. This is my first BMW but I don't know how I'll ever be able to switch to something else.

When I read that review it seemed like a pretty good upgrade but then I saw the price and that idea went right out the window. $1500 for some damn coilpacks and all of 10hp gain! Maybe if I had already put a supercharger on my car, and fuel injectors, and an mtech kit, would I even think of purchasing this

Way overpriced! don't waste the money for just 10 hp gains with this.

Like said above: Scoops, Air filter and ECU remap yes!
