Thumbs up

Hi All !!

I have a planning to change exhaust for my 545i yr 2004. I will need more good response than stock exhaust, but i don't need louder sound.

So someone recommend which aftermarket exhaust will be good for my idea. Please help me.

Your stock exhaust is the quietest of the all aftermarket exhaust. If you don't want a louder sound, stick with the stock. Beside, search this forum and you'll find that an aftermarket "doesn't" necessarily allow your car to be faster or breath easier.

Hi,
I have an Eisenmann exhaust and it really is superb. Not too big and not too loud. U will have to take the double 76mm exhaust which is the smallest, so not the quad exhaust. U dont have to work on the rear bumper and it is not too much at all.

You want a raspy sound which is not annoyingly loud try the eisenmann exhaust. If you, like myself love obnoxiously loud and deep exhaust tone, save 300 bucks and get the B&B. I don't know where the remus stands on this issue. Either way u wont makea wrong choice...

None.

Response will be the same, they don't increase performance/hp, and they're all louder than stock.

But just in case you change your mind...this is the lowdown of the ones I've heard:

From quietest to loudest -
Eisenmann - raspy, hollow sound and quietest
Dinan - melodic "Italian" sound
Remus - deepest sound
ACS - made by Remus so pretty much the same
B&B - almost as deep as Remus and loudest

I've never heard SuperSprint/Hamman, Cargraphic, Breyton, or Racing Dynamics in person.

I am with B32. Stick with stock if you don't want louder. This thread might interest you.

If you don't want louder sound, then stick with the stock exhaust. It is a pretty good system. The second muffler/flow opens up on heavy acceleration.

Anything that is going to add a slight increase will add sound.

I installed the Hamann quad because of look and a little bit of sound - slight increase but quiet on the freeway. Performance gains are minimal if anything.

I think the most open system is the ACS Dual exhaust (just straight through mufflers and removes the second resonator). However, it will not be quiet.
